The European Society for Organ Transplantation (ESOT) Grants Programme aims to promote the education and career development of both European and non-European transplant professionals. By visiting European transplant centres and participating in ESOT education programmes, participants are provided with state-of-the-art opportunities for scientific exchange and collaboration.
From 31 August to 31 October 2024, you can apply for various grants designed to support and advance the field of transplantation.
Twenty ESOT Educational Scholarships are available to support young European transplant professionals who wish to attend ESOT courses, masterclasses, or scientific meetings.
Five ESOT Educational Global Grants are available to support non-European transplant professionals who wish to attend ESOT courses, masterclasses, or scientific meetings.
Five Sevda Hassan Study Scholarships are available for European transplant professionals who wish to visit a European Transplant Centre to acquire specific knowledge and skills important for the applicant’s overall career progression and the overall progress of the applicant’s institution. The duration of the programme is between two weeks and six months.
Three ESOT Travel Global Grants are available to support non-European transplant professionals who wish to visit a European Transplant Centre to gain specific knowledge and skills important for the applicant’s overall career progression and the overall progress of the applicant’s institution.
Two ESOT Transplant Fellowships are available – a Basic Science/Translational Science fellowship and a Clinical fellowship – to acquire knowledge and skills by working in a European Transplant Centre for one year.

The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) established the Young Investigator Research Grant program to support clinical research studies addressing important issues for patients with kidney disease. Projects must be patient-oriented.

This £10,000 award is an open call with no deadline, and reviews conducted regularly. The grant will support prototype development, proof-of-concept work or early feasibility tests for new surgical technologies. In addition, this is an opportunity which provides high-level access to NIHR expertise and its innovation pipeline to advance your project.
The concept must be a technology-based solution which aligns with general surgery and/or colorectal, hepatobiliary and vascular surgery (including wound care).

New funding round opening on 28th June. This scheme provides funding for early-career researchers from any discipline who are ready to develop their research identity. Through innovative projects, they will deliver shifts in understanding that could improve human life, health and wellbeing. By the end of the award, they will be ready to lead their own independent research programme. Funded research can be in any discipline – including science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM), experimental medicine, humanities and social science, clinical/allied health sciences, and public health – as long as it has the potential to improve human life, health and wellbeing, and aligns with the Wellcome Trust’s funding remit.

This scheme provides funding for established researchers and teams from any discipline who want to pursue bold and creative research ideas to deliver significant shifts in understanding that could improve human life, health and wellbeing.
